Tokay gecko

Introducing our latest Honorary Board Member, the Tokay gecko. The Tokay gecko (Gekko gecko) is a very large, colourful species of gecko found throughout South-east Asia, as well as in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and parts of north-east India.

Unlike most lizards, geckos can be quite vocal and depending on the species, they make a range of different sounds. “Tokay” is a name that refers to the sound this gecko makes and you can listen to its mating call and learn more below.
