Fundraising Dinner 2025
In December 2025 we held our annual In Place of War fundraising event at Brian Eno's studio in London. During the evening we presented five fellowship awards for outstanding contributions to music and activism: BICEP, Kneecap, AURORA, Tarrak and Katarina Barruk. We also honoured two of our GAB (Global Music Advisory Board) members for their incredible contributions to In Place of War - Kim Astley Cooper for his PR support and guidance, and Paula Clarke for championing our music programmes. The awards were handmade by UK artist Azarra Amoy.
We were treated to performances from two indigenous artists from our TAKKUUK project, Tarrak and Katarina Barruk, who both sang in their native languages; award-winning sound and light artist Natural Symphony who turned plants into synths; and DJ sets from David Holmes and Paul Hartnoll (Orbital). We also held a silent auction with prizes from gig tickets to dining vouchers, along with original artworks from our Music Shaped project, including a piece by Jeremy Deller (pictured). A huge thank you to Brian Eno and Jo for hosting us once again in their studio, and to the amazing comedian Adam Buxton who was our compere for the night.
