ROLAND

In Place of War is excited to share news of a fantastic partnership with Roland. One of the founder members of the In Place of War Global Music Industry Advisory Board, Roland, has generously donated a range of world-leading equipment to some of the grassroots music organisations we support in countries including Columbia, Kenya, Lebanon, South Africa and Uganda. This collaboration will allow the ever-inspiring change-makers we partner with to create, play, produce and record the music that brings about positive change every day in these areas of conflict.

Jamie Franklin, Roland’s Artist Relations Manager, Europe, in London, says, “It’s such an honour to be in partnership with In Place Of War and its incredible team to help bring positivity, music and change in areas of conflict. Sourcing musical instruments is the first part of a larger plan to engage with the global change-makers to not just help drive creativity, but to also educate and support growth of talent. Hopefully these actions will lead to more lives being changed for the better through the power of music.”

The In Place of War team and those running the projects supported by the partnership would like to thank Roland for their enthusiastic support of our work and passionate determination to collaborate with our global network.

Keep watching our social media channels for updates on the partnership and the brilliantly innovative ways our change-makers will put the donated equipment to use.

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS

In Place of War has also partnered with Native Instruments, who have generously committed to donate cutting-edge hardware and software to 10 organisations in our change-maker network across countries including Columbia, El Salvador, Kenya, Palestine, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

Their contribution will make a significant impact on the resources and potential creative output of the recipient projects In Place of War supports in these locations. Jonas Sudendorf, Director of Community & Partnerships at Native Instruments in Berlin, says, “Music and creativity are powerful tools. They can help to build communities that drive progress, resistance and positive change. We are excited to partner with In Place Of War and bring new music technology into the hands of the change-makers in areas of conflict around the world. Together, we hope to support and inspire music creators and their communities to have a larger impact and create their version of the future of music together.

Future plans for developing the partnership involve mentoring and global creative collaboration, the results of which will be shared on our social media channels. The In Place of War team and those running the projects supported by the partnership would like to thank Native Instruments for sharing our belief in the transformative power of music and creativity.
