Since 2019 Alyakha Art Center has grown as a living constellation encompassing community memory, environmental imagination,and indigenous knowledge. Rooted along the shoreline of Lake Sentani, in the Jayapura Regency of Papua, Indonesia the Alyakha Art Center moves between ecology, oral tradition, and contemporary experimentation, cultivating creative pathways where local cosmology and artistic innovation intertwine.

Its foundation rests on the practice of listening: to the land, the ever-changing waters, the winds crossing the lake, and the ancestral voices embedded within Sentani’s cultural landscape. To support this practice will surely open more chances of collaborative art work that will strengthen younger generation to stand with strong roots in the current of modernization.
