Fundraising dinner 2024

In November 2024 we held our annual In Place of War fundraising dinner at Brian Eno's studio in West London. During the evening we presented fellowship awards recognising outstanding contributions to music and activism to Sama' Abdulhadi, Charlotte Church, Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) and Martyn Ware. 

We also honoured Jamie Franklin from Roland as our GAB (Global Music Industry Advisory Board) supporter of the year, recognising four years of incredible support through his time, expertise, connections and equipment donations to grassroots music organisations in places of conflict. The fellowship awards were designed and produced by Azarra Amoy.

We were joined by our changemaker MABE who spoke about her time in GRRRL (LINK) and Juan who spoke about our HackMusic project.  We were also treated to an acoustic performance from new fellow Charlotte Church. The evening included dinner from social enterprise 9Kitchens, drinks from Red Monkey Pop-up Bar, and an art auction featuring works from our Music Shaped project. The evening was compered by Emma Bartholomew.
