Kwoto Cultural Centre
Kwoto popular theatre group was established in 1994 and seeks to address the situation of the southern Sudanese refugees in and around Khartoum. Kwoto has evolved into a cultural centre that aims to collect and display traditional art forms in order for the southern refugees not to lose cultural traditions. Kwoto also has a theatre based element where they use performances to educate the population about various issues like HIV, the environment, etc.
